Empulse F35 Pull device

A new innovation within the powered add-on market, coming soon from Sunrise Medical.

Designed to be desirable to every active manual wheelchair user out there.

The F35 and its IATA (International Air Transport Association) approved battery, which is safe for air travel. And if that isn't enough, the F35 has a variety of options to help further take the worry out of travel too.

 

* Individual airlines have different requirements relative to transport of products with Li-Ion batteries. Prior to arranging any air travel with the wheelchair, please confirm with your airline or carrier that they accept battery-powered vehicles under UN classification: UN3171. Please refer to the owners manual for further details.

  • Fitting Guide for Empulse F35

     

    Empulse F35

    Please make sure that the device is switched off before docking and undocking

    • Always apply the wheelchair brakes.

    • Check the wheelchair is fully connected with the F35 pull device before use.

    • As with all moving parts, there is a risk that fingers  or clothing could become trapped

    • Be extra careful when operating the docking clamps 

     

    1. Insert the subframe into the docking clamps.
    2. Now rotate the tommy screws of the clamps in a clockwise direction until they are hand tight and the intermediate sub-frame is securely held in the clamps.
    3. Take the pull device and insert the docking pin ends into the central bracket of the subframe.
    4. Push the handlebar forwards/ upwards until the locking bolt automatically clicks into place. Only release the wheelchair brakes once device is locked in place.

     

    Step by Step Undocking Empulse F35

    Always make sure that the F35 is switched off before docking and undocking •

    Always apply the wheelchair brakes •

    Ensure the wheelchair is fully connected with the pull device before use

    • As with all moving parts, there is a risk that fingers  or clothing could become trapped

    • Be extra careful when operating the docking clamps 

     

    1. Pull and hold the docking release lever on the main tube. Now pull the handlebar gently backwards/downwards.
    2. Now lower the pull device slowly until the castors of the wheelchair touch the floor. To remove the F35 from the subframe only, steps 1 and 2 can be performed independently of steps 3 and 4.
    3. Undo the tommy screws of the clamps on both sides and pull the subframe until the tubes of the intermediate sub-frame have been pulled completely out of the clamps.
    4. Take out the subframe from the docking clamps
